With 30 years of experience in the market, Fábrica de Comunicação has established itself as an agency specializing in strengthening brands, innovating, and creating relevant content. However, the challenge arose when developing the editorial project “Santa Catarina: Mountains, Fields, and Sea” for the Government of the State of Santa Catarina.
The goal was to create a series of publications that captured the beauty and diversity of the state’s landscapes, presenting them in a sophisticated and impactful manner, both visually and editorially.

To meet this challenge, Fábrica de Comunicação partnered with Sakada to produce a series of three illustrated books, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Santa Catarina through the lenses of talented local photographers. Each book was designed to exude sophistication, featuring a large “art-book” format with a hardcover, internal stitched binding, and a matte coated finish, offering a refined and lasting appeal. The typography was carefully selected to complement the various visual elements presented in each volume, ensuring that every graphic component contributed to the visual storytelling of the collection. The result was a set of books that not only celebrates the natural beauty of Santa Catarina but also strengthens the state’s cultural identity with a high-end aesthetic approach.
The brand redesign involved an in-depth study of both the typography and the characters. We chose a typography with smooth, elongated curves that conveyed a balance between the clinic’s seriousness and its empathy for animal well-being. The characters, the chameleon and the Brazilian parrot, were given the proper prominence without competing with the clinic’s name, ensuring visual harmony. This balance was achieved after a detailed study of the real animals’ postures, observed through videos and photos.
Additionally, we created a complete visual universe for the brand, including uniforms, stationery, signage, and the clinic’s website.
This new visual identity better reflects Doutor Silvestre’s values and strengthens its position as a trusted and empathetic clinic specialized in the care of wild animals.
